The Workshop is 7 days of photographing the Italian countryside and hill towns. We call this a luxury workshop because we offer you the very best of everything during your week. We have assembled a crew to take care of you while you are learning. We have a producer, assistants, strobe and grip equipment, vans and the knowledge of where to be, and when, for the best light. Locations have been scouted, doors have been opened and streets have been closed so that you can come away from each experience with an amazing photograph.
    The Umbria Workshop is for beginners, serious amateurs and professionals alike. For the beginner, it is an opportunity to be taught by a working professional. Someone who knows how to explain his craft simply and clearly. For the professional, it offers an opportunity for new experiences and access to private locations with the equipment needed to get a great shot.     The Workshop is taught by professional photographer Ron Baxter Smith. Umbria has become a second home to Ron. After years of photographing around the world, he has come to know this part of Italy extremely well and he is willing to share it, and his love for photography, with you.
